Martha launches her first footwear collections on the heels of a career of more than 15yrs as an industrial and interface designer.
Her background includes co-founder and 10yrs as president and creative director of Able Design, an interdisciplinary design studio in NYC and 5 years as leader of the global ‘convergent’ technology practice for Razorfish. She is an award- winning designer with over 20 patents registered in the USA. She has been published widely and her work is included in the permanent collection of the Cooper Hewitt Museum of Design, NYC.
Martha's residency in January 2012 results in a collection of footwear that reconsiders the processes, materials and components of a shoe.
